NYC Restaurant Ads, 1981-1998 is the first archival project by Nikki Igol's Public Image Library, published in collaboration with Blurring Books. Drawn from the Public Image Library's print archive, the book documents how Manhattan’s dining scene changed, as seen through restaurant ads in magazines such as Interview, Paper, and Details. This visual archive tracks shifts in food culture and graphic design, as New Yorkers chased the current “it” spot across cuisines and neighborhoods.
